Sum it up in a Sentence

A mysterious girl shows up in Hare's jungle home and turns his life upside down, being both angel and demon to him.

Main Description

Hare lives with his mother in a small home in a jungle village. One day, he comes home to discover that his mother has found and adopted a strange girl. In stark contrast to all the other villagers, the new girl is fair skinned and has bright pink hair. She calls herself Guu and is the sweetest little girl on the planet until Hare's mother has her back turned. Suddenly Guu's attitude, voice, even her face, change dramatically. Hare discovers she has a lot of other eccentricities as well, like swallowing objects whole. Guu brings absolute chaos into the villagers lives but no one else besides Hare can believe that Guu is the cause of it. All the while, he has to try to rein in his new adopted sister's behavior.

Personal Opinions

Willie Westwood

This is one of my favorite animes. The episodes are full of slapstick comedy and the characters are much more than they seem at first glance.

Robert Denby

Uniquely batshit insane characters and zany story elements make up for an astoundingly weird whole, to the point where moments that should make you laugh will simply make your jaw drop to the floor. It's "Looney Tunes" anarchy amped up to almost indescribable levels. Well worth watching if you're a jaded viewer who thinks they've see it all.
