-	This series sometimes tries to put on a grim and gritty face about the dark world of the living dead, but you'll see what it's really about from the first time a set of breasts bounce with little provocation. Amidst the gory hellscape of undeath, there is such an incredible level of fanservice that borders on softcore porn at its peak but somehow manages to avoid being completely sleazy. The story can stand on its own and the characters are decent enough to be likable beyond their gravity-defying chests and skirts. There's even a character who's an insert of Hellsing's mangaka Kouta Hirano that often parodies Alucard- there's a hilarious self-awareness that makes it known that HOTD is meant to be enjoyed on the most basic level of violence and titty loving.

When I watched it again some time later I was bored out of my mind, so take that for what it's worth. Also unless you are a die-hard fan you can probably skip the ''Prince of Darkness'' sequel movie; it was pointless and boring and ruined the ending to the show.
